Praise for software
Panic is an exemplary software business. It seems like one of the few companies nowadays that does software right: give me money and I will give you a piece of software. Specifically, Transmit is great. It “just works” and feels native within macOS.
It’s hard to find “nice software” nowadays.
I guess I should list my qualifiers for nice:
- Does not shove AI (and any other unwanted things) in your face
- Is of a high quality, does not obviously crash or break or have annoying bugs
- Design is minimal, not flashy, gets out of your way, feels pleasant to use
